Vision
A space to bring forth wisdom and compassion and cultivate regenerative engagements with the inseparable wholeness and diversity of life.
Together we are
Cultivating and acting with interbeing~interknowing of both the human community and the plants, animals, and insects on the land. We learn from and participate in the regenerating ecology of the land and wider Waikaretū place. We take guidance in ethical practice from the Buddhist Precepts.
Learning and creating together in community-led, empowering ways that reveal each of our unique gifts and capacities as beings. Many beings can participate and be valued in the co-creation and tending of the land, events, and vision.
Grounding in compassion and wisdom through various meditative practices as we each find meaning and support in them. The extent to which we can individually and collectively be grounded in a sense of kindness and interest, wholeness and belonging, determines the extent to which we can become a welcoming refuge to others.
Engaging in issues of socio-ecologial justice and wellbeing with the support of meditative and wisdom tradition practices. This may take the form of meditation-in-action, applied workshops, art and creative endeavor, learning Mātauranga Maori, and other means.
Providing an accessible and welcoming place for rest, restoration, regeneration, learning, sharing, and awakening in nature. This includes financial and physical accessibility.
